About the data
// SOURCES AND GAPSWhere each kind of data comes from, and what this site leaves out
PokéAPI gives the base mechanics: Pokémon, types, moves, abilities and items, with their names. Places, trainers and the other people in the games are named from the decompilations, with the site's own cited corrections. PokéAPI also gives the reference data for the Gen 5 to 9 games.
Location data covers the 16 Gen 1 to 4 games. It is read from the pret decompilations, the community's readable copies of the games' own code. Areas, trainers, items, shops, gifts and wild encounters all come from there.

Games after Gen 4 have no location data yet.
Bulbapedia fills two gaps. It gives wild held items for games with no decompilation, and the TM numbers of Brilliant Diamond, Shining Pearl, Scarlet and Violet.
Bulbapedia is CC BY-NC-SA, so this site uses it for facts only, such as which TM teaches which move. Its text is not copied.
These are not covered, and are not missing by mistake.
